but dreams are inevitable for poets to keep bread in the home.

Where are you headed? I won’t try and slow you down. I’m just trying to understand where we go from here. You’re trying to act like nothing has changed or gone astray.

I turn away from nature’s patterns The sky and the water blend My mind creates anew Inspiration returns to a desperate painter
Ignoring the pleas of others Telling me “abandon” First water, then cloud comes to life I will not give up my dreams
